What is Cascade?
"Cascade" describes the successive and amplified impact of "Transition Tokens" designed to bring a sure-fire fight to Climate Change. A Transition Token is a token issued by a blockchain that represents verified and validated valuable transition.
Swytch's technology stack includes an "oracle" that collects data from renewable energy producers using existing smart meter technology.
Swytch tokens are minted on the Ethereum blockchain and transferred to energy producers against this verified and validated data in measure with the carbon displaced by the clean energy produced.
The resulting new data commons delivers "collective knowledge" that supports a shift to an energy ecosystem aligned with future energy needs rather than at odds with it.
Trust in the data from the device itself allows a decentralized energy grid with a distributed model around governance, identity, and optimization.
